An afternoon of relative quiet, except for a burst of hail that lasted only a few moments. The usual chase with Charlie while watching the declining sun and changing of the light. And we saw a fragment of what must be one of the all-time dimmest (see if you can find it) rainbows ever.

rDay Thirty, Arbor Day
As I was shooting this afternoon, a guy stepped off his porch and asked me what I was seeing. I said, “sky, clouds, trees”. He said, “Oh, I wondered if there was something I should be aware of.” I said, “Yes, sky, clouds, trees.”
And we continued our walk around the neighborhood …
rDay Twenty-Nine
Alternating clouds and sun, mostly the former. Shopping today: health food store, Safeway, Walmart, BiMart. Bump into Dennis in Safeway, one day back from Bahrain. Walkin’ the dog around the ‘hood, sighting cars and oddities along the way.
rDay Twenty-Eight, EOU B&W
rDay Twenty-Eight, Downtown and Around
Walked downtown for five separate visits with various friends and business connections. Sighted a Mini Cooper with a warning label, a Corvette with flames and a neglected M-B 500SL with no love. Back through side streets and the EOU campus, bumped into Nik heading for class, then finally home.
rDay Twenty-Five – Gangloff, Pioneer and SK8 Parks
A Sunday morning outing with Charley …
rDay Twenty-Four, après-kitchen
rDay Twenty-Three, Whatever Happens
Started the day tearing down and testing old computers (3 down, 6 to go), coming upstairs for skylight and escape from the banishment of the basement. Ivi calls. Warmth (seventy degrees!) and (albeit cloudless) blue skies beckon. Another outing to the third of three cemetary venues susceptible to dog-ness. Mt. Emily is everywhere; can’t be avoided. On the way home, we catch a college women’s softball game just as it completed. For dinner, in the Ivi-Kim tradition of homemade pizza for Friday, we take on one of the best yet: asparagus, wine-cooked mushroom, some kind of cheese. Then Ivi calls, again.
rDay Twenty-Two
Afternoon shadows around the EOU campus.
rDay Twenty-One – Addendum
As we prepared for the afternoon Unleashing of the Hound of the Baskervilles, we took notice of how overgrown the front yard grass has become, after only one week of the lawn mower’s downtime in the shop for repair. But we proceeded on to romp about in the abundant grass also afforded by the nearby undeveloped college campus fields.
