A Google Hangout with Charlie and Ivi
This morning we connected for a lo-res Hangout session with Ivi — even Charlie got in the act. Which she says she has no worries about, and was smiling throughout.
The Japanese Fishing Dance
In her role as leader of her college’s ballroom dancing club, Ivi often interacts and performs with other campus dance groups, like the salsa club, and spends as much time as she can dancing at local Portland venues. Now we learn that she has joined with the campus Japanese dance group — in her happi coat — for a forthcoming International Students’ Day performance of the traditional Japanese fisherman’s dance/song. While we don’t know if the Lewis & Clark version will be recorded, I did find this YouTube vid hopefully to give us an idea of what it is all about.
