The Intrepid Travelers / Wedding Guests — Ivi, Olivia and Marina — came home with well over 600 images from their trip. We are just starting to go through the collection. Here is a pic (don’t know which photographer of the three gets attribution) of Conor and Larkin, descending.
More to follow, I’m sure.

rDay One-Hundred-Thirty-One
A gray day for a change, meaning a lot of difference in shadows and photographic approaches. Walking a long loop around town, I take in side streets, local bikers, Eric and his shop (where I see his personal project Toyota Land Cruiser, being rebuilt from the ground up after he “took off every single, stinking bolt”) and cars and trucks in general. Returning home about 2.5 hours later, Ivi and I almost immediately take off on errands, including a visit to the former workplace to get a second opinion on her smashed smartphone.
rDay One-Hundred-Twenty-Five
Today, a convergence of relatives at Grandma Janet’s place, with a stopover by newlyweds Larkin and Conor, as a post-wedding celebration and an opportunity to further plan and implement Janet’s move this week to her new residence.
Not enough light? Just pretend that it’s the 1800s for Larkin:

Seeking the Definitive Wedding Photo
Ivi has been given instructions to document the Larkin-Conor affair to the extent practicable. For inspiration, I have to offer my “remix”of this, my favorite wedding photo (photographer: unknown[to me], featuring: Melissa), ever:
This photo is worthy of long and serious study, IMHO. Please pardon the (minor) liberties I have taken with the original photo. (Please have your legal people contact my legal people, if need be …)
rDay One-Hundred-Eighteen
Ivi arranges and conducts her Montana departure, leaving this afternoon to pick up Olivia and Marina, with a planned stop overnight at friends in Boise. But during some slack time (really?), she manages to leverage an excess supply of bananas by cooking up Chika’s Famous Banana Bread (so good! this deserves a plug for Velouria — click here and here). Mom and Dad watch Ivi drive off into the great unknown, Nik takes off on his own local venture, then we retreat to the evening backyard with Charlie. Momma Bird is hanging in there, and Charlie waits at the front door for Ivi’s return.
rDay One-Hundred-Seventeen
Today is mostly about the girls’ Montana expedition prep. I make sure the PathFinder is serviced and equipped for emergencies, then mostly stay out of the way, while the Fearless Threesome plan to an extraordinary level of detail, with clothing and supplies falling into categories such as Driving, Lounging, Socializing, Camping, Playing, etc. Launch is set for Tuesday p.m. Kim and I do some quick shopping and run some errands, then find a new Swedish TV drama series to binge over the next week.
rDay One-Hundred-Thirteen
A random walk yields a 60s VW bug, a TT and a slammed Ram. Nice and cool today, too.
And here’s a quick “before” peek at GRRR 103:
rDay One-Eleven
rDay100
Almost too hot to move (again). But, recovering from some maladies, self-inflicted and otherwise, it seems time to start walking about again. Downtown before it reaches too high in the 90s, noticing that animals have the good sense to stay in the shade, encountering an animal in Janet’s front yard about six feet from her front door, watching some tennis with Janet in the cool of her house, then later running errands with Ivi — the highlight being a sighting of a circa 1978 Mercedes-Benz 500SL

Ah, we discover some photos from yesterday on the other camera …
