The Wenger Giant

Ever had the notion that all you need to accomplish something daunting is just that right tool? I know that I am always on the lookout for a better camera bag or backpack or photo anything. Certainly Ivi and Kim seem to enjoy surveying the latest in kitchen and garden toolery. I even imagine that I could perform magical feats of auto repair and enhancement with something beyond my current collection. And don’t even get me started with software tools. Enter the Wenger Giant:

wenger_giantThis thing features 141 tools packed into 2 lbs and less than 9 inches of width, all for only $1400. Amazon even gives us a $28 discount on this ultimate Swiss Army Knife, along with some of the most amusing reviews I have ever read on that site. See what I mean here.

What Does Your State Google?

So Estately.com, an online home searching/shopping site, in an attempt to help you decide which state to choose for your next home, ran a Google Trends analysis to determine the most frequent internet search query subjects by state.  Here are the results — ranging from hilarious to scary — in condensed graphical form:

And, of course, you can visit Google Trends yourself if you want to waste your time seeing how other people waste their time … (yes, we know that you have already wasted your time by visiting this blog).

Amazon.com Announces the Most Well-Read Cities in America

Shelves_of_Language_Books_in_LibraryYesterday, Amazon published its fourth annual list of the most well-read cities.  Well, “well-read” is defined by Amazon in terms of its own sales.   So we see places like Portland not on the list.  Why?  Is it because Portland has more independent bookstores than most other cities?  I see that Seattle and Vancouver both rank.  See the entire list here.

Responsive At Last

You may have noticed some subtle changes in the appearance of this blog.  WhileBusy… has undergone surgery to make it play well, or at least better, with your smartphone or tablet, as well as any other device.  That is, its underpinnings are now are of a “responsive”  (meaning that it responds automatically to whatever device it is being viewed with) and more “mobile-friendly” design.  I attempted to conform the outward appearance to the previous visual design, at least for the time being.  If you are a mobile device user, you will see some more manual controls and relevant icons.  I still may convert to something even more “automatic”.  Let me know if you have problems or other comments.
