rDay Seven-Hundred-Fifty

Today we head for an early afternoon dog walk, taking advantage of a display of sun in an otherwise rainy day.  Riverside Park — haven’t been there for some time.  Clouds darken, rain begins, we drive back in rain and deepening darkness. Just as we pull into home parking, we are hit with — hail.  Safe and cozy back home we can continue viewing the PBS American Experience World War I special series, “The Great War” (highly recommended, incidentally).

Velouria Supports Immigrants & Refugees

velouria_20percent_musesIvi called today, and we learn that Velouria is supporting a local Seattle nonprofit by donating 20% of its profits on Wednesdays (#womxnswednesdays) this month.  The nonprofit, Muses, provides job training for immigrants and refugees and educates them on their workers’ rights.
