Taking a little time off from attending to business in LaG City, friend David invites me to his backyard shop where he and his two partners construct/deconstruct all manner of vehicles. Here we see a ’68 Chevy Camaro that was intended to get a little paint touch-up, but one thing led to another. Now it is slated for a “resto-mod” workup, to be show-worthy and streetable, all 600 horsepower worth, by next summer. And we see the progress on a frame-up restoration of a Suzuki offroad vehicle. David says that Heather lets him do what he wants in the shop, so long as she reigns supreme in terms of management of their adjacent house.

Balloons. Everywhere. A previous post told us that the Balloon Stampede is taking place in WaWaWA for most of this week. Balloons, if you’ve seen one balloon, you’ve seen … Even the fact of balloon photography is a cliche, but I have nevertheless been sucked in. From the sunrise launches to the night-time burns.

Balloons. The Balloon Stampede comes to Walla Walla’s Howard Tietan Park, a quick half-dozen blocks from our house. Officially opening on the 17th, we get a late afternoon early preview.

Dog 163 readies for Halloween.
Later, my memory card becomes unusable and I cannot locate the spare. But we visit the Museum of Un-Natural History, anyway. Probably to be revisited and reported upon more fully.
