Huayna Picchu, 1978

I wasn’t there.  I didn’t take the photograph.  But my old photo partner, Bill, just today found this previously lost image of himself, unseen for many years, so I thought I would pass it along just to change things up a bit.  Bill went on to climb to the peak, with view camera in tow, and then made a commercially successful poster of Machu Picchu.  (You may recall mention of Bill in some of my previous posts over the years, like this one, a photo I did take.)

rDay One-Thousand-Eight

Lisle visits!  (Yes, accompanied by his parents.)  An igloo sort of structure is built in the side yard, under the supervision of Lisle himself.  Jared showed us pics of Chika and Lisle inside, and those hopefully will show up on Instagram or wherever.

Then I take a walk in the blue hour returning home in the dark, just after watching a Charter crew and three trucks apparently working frantically to restore cable tv/internet after an outage in the neighborhood.
