Today we meet the Zorks, Vero & Taylor. They were parked on Adams Avenue, in front of Joe Beans, and I instantly noticed their 1986 VW Westfalia, first for its bright yellow color and second for its Vermont license plate. Conversation ensued, and I soon had to get Jamesa into the act as he was parked at his desk less than a block away and, as you may know, was a founding member of the WetWesties VW Camping Society some 20 years ago. Turns out that Taylor and Vero are touring acrobats (yes, you heard that right) and were on their way to a gig in Colorado, having just departed from western and central Oregon. We learned that Taylor had installed a Subaru engine in his VW camper to ease the burden of mountain travel; much travel and VW and auto-lore was discussed.
