Ultimate Authoritative Unimpeachable Top 20 Books of 2016
Something after my data-driven, computer nerd heart. The kind of project that I often think of doing, but never get around to it, even though I have the database and programming tools right at hand to do so.

rDay Six-Hundred-Thirty-Nine: Car Stuff
Making a misguided foray into the weather, I join friend Kevin for a visit to a couple of his cars (of a total of five, I think, not counting motorcycles) in winter storage: his newly-acquired and almost perfect 35-year-old BMW and his 27-year-old summer driver 951 Porsche Turbo. Tallis Scholars for Christmas
From the BBC, a complete concert of Renaissance Christmas music by one of my favorite groups performing work of that period, the Tallis Scholars. I’ll take this any day over Jingle Bells and White Christmas, but that’s just me. Available for online listening until January 13. More information here and here.
