As part of our customary Tuesday shopping cycle, we hang in the library until Farmers Market opens across the street. Among others, we see the famed Val of Val’s Veggies (if she looks slightly familiar, think of Doc Martin’s aunt in that PBS series) and run across Nik doing some shopping of his own.
For the past several days, Kim has been cleaning, sorting, organizing, packing, and otherwise clearing out the upstairs bedrooms and closets previously occupied by the kids. One large walk-in closet has served as the repository for toys and games over many, many years and is stacked nearly floor to ceiling. Charlie followed Kim into the area, sniffed around for awhile among the large array of stuff, then snatched one toy in his mouth and dashed downstairs with it. Can you guess what it was?
